Who's behind CLiKS?

Rev. Peter Mott (Chair)
Anglican Priest in Charge at Keighley Shared Church, Church Green. I was originally a biology lecturer at the University College of Botswana, in Southern Africa. I was ordained in 1980, and have served at Churches in Hull, Birmingham, Sheffield and Colne, coming to Keighley in 2001.

Dorothy Grant (Secretary)
The reason for my involvement with CLiKS is that I believe that children and young people naturally experience something of God in their daily lives and need to be able to nurture and share that experience. I am a member of All Saints’ Church, Highfield.

Colin Meredith (Treasurer)
I have been married to Elaine for 35 years and we have a son and daughter in their 20s. We have lived in Keighley for 4 years, after moving all around the UK since being married. I work at a school as a business manager, looking after finances, personnel, health and safety, premises management etc.

I go to St Mark's Church at Utley, which is brilliant for the opportunity to become involved in activities in the area. I am particularly interested in Nightshift, a drop-in for pubbers and clubbers in Keighley on a Saturday night, I help provide meals at the Salvation Army once a month and now I am really looking forward to being CLiKS treasurer. I am a passionate believer that young people don't deserve the bad press they get and that everybody is entitled to free choice. To make that free choice you have to know what the options are.

Margaret Anthony
I am a member of St. Mark's Church, Utley where I am trainee Reader. I have been teaching for 35 years in Primary and Middle schools and have seen many changes in education. In this post-Christian era I feel it is vital for children to hear the gospel and learn about the Christian faith. Unfortunately in our multi-faith society many pupils (and parents) are ignorant of the basics of Christianity so it is often left to the local churches to fill the gap. We are pleased that so many local schools have opened their doors to us. We hope you will support us in this important work.

Rev. John Hudson (Vice Chair)

Married to Gail with 3 children: Kristy (Nottingham), Mark (Falkirk) & Anna (Norwich).
Hobby: Railways (real and model). Now collecting grandchildren!

Captain Alison Gardner (Salvation Army)
My name is Alison Gardner, I have been a commissioned officer in the Salvation Army for nearly twenty years working in Camberwell, Dundee, Glasgow and Chelmsford. I came to Keighley in 1999 with my husband Kenneth and our four children and here we have stayed. I do believe that all children should have the opportunity to hear about Jesus and I am happy to support CLICKS in this mission.
